Geofill LD Marine cellular (foam) concrete is specifically formulated for use in underwater applications.
It offers significant advantages when used for underwater placement where conditions require lightweight, low permeability solutions, that remain cohesive when placed or pumped into a submerged environment.

Geofill cellular concrete can be placed underwater to encapsulate and protect timber piles that make up a structure of a pier or dock that are under attack by Shipworms, Marine Borers or other organisms.

For structures adjacent to waterways, subsidence and washouts (structural issues) can occur due to erosion. Affected areas may include roads, parking lots, retaining walls and sheet piling. Geofill LD Marine can be placed underwater or in wet conditions to fill voids.

Geofill LD Marine offers several advantages, especially underwater:

  • Lightweight, but heavier than water
  • Low permeability
  • Displaces water effectively
  • Will fill small or hard to reach voids
  • Extremely flowable and pumpable

Both the density and strength of Geofill LD Marine can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of projects.  We offer mix design support and production planning to successfully complete your project.
